Frame Discreet is a Toronto motion picture film lab built and run by cinematographers. We offer in-house ECN-2 processing for Super 8 and 16mm, and high-resolution scanning and digitization of 8mm, Super 8, 16mm and 35mm film.

We built the kind of lab we wanted to work with ourselves. Having spent our careers behind the camera, we know what goes into every roll before it reaches us—and how important it is to get it right. We’re hands-on with the entire process, paying attention to the little things and treating every roll as if it were our own.

We work with filmmakers, cinematographers, production companies, archives and families preserving their home movies. Clear communication, attention to detail and genuinely caring about the work that comes through our lab are a big part of how we do things.
